It seems we've been eating the popular snack wrong all this time. Jaffa Cakes are a favourite snack for those with a sweet tooth, thanks to their tangy taste and classic chocolate-orange combination.
A spokesperson for Jaffa Cakes, which is owned by McVitie and Price, has revealed that contrary to popular belief, the chocolate part of the treat isn't the top, it's actually the bottom, reports the Mirror. This means we've been holding and eating them upside down for as long as we can remember. On a Facebook group called Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas, a chat screenshot showed the response of the company, saying: "Hi David, our Jaffa Cakes go through a reservoir of chocolate, so the chocolate is on the bottom. Thanks, Jaffa Cakes."
