DominicSelwood Disgusted to discover he identifies as an historian. Thankful many of today's historians are much more enlightened than this gaslighting, looting-excusing claptrap masquerading as a legitimate argument would suggest.

DominicSelwood It would be nonsensical to return your laptop that I stole from you because it was so long ago I kind of forgot whether I *really* stole it and I'm using it to make better Garageband videos than you would've and it would create a precedent where I also have to give back your car.

Dear Dr DominicSelwood, pity you did not get your facts right: 1) The Moai was not a 'gift' from islanders to the British. No historical evidence of that; 2) All historians agree about the grim conditions of the islanders: famine & illnesses had decimated the population.

DominicSelwood Really? It don’t belong to the UK it belongs to the islanders. It was STOLEN! It immoral to hold on to stolen artifacts especially when u know well and fully who it was stolen from and who it belongs to

DominicSelwood Give it back. It's a piece of stone to us but a stolen cultural artefact to them

DominicSelwood Exchange it for 200 Consernative mp's,No one will notice any difference as the 201 statues are made out of stone?
