Israel's military says it will help evacuate babies from al Shifa hospital, which a surgeon has described as a 'warzone'. Meanwhile, Israel's prime minister has appeared to set a condition for a ceasefire to be considered - Hamas must release all hostages.

Fighting at the Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza has intensified overnight, after Israel claimed its troops were fired on while helping civilians. The Israeli military said its soldiers found people in a building and allowed them to evacuate through a safe corridor. While doing so, the soldiers were fired on and Israel responded with light arms and tank fire, killing the gunmen, it claimed.

The Israel Defence Forces also released footage purporting to show strikes being carried out on locations across Gaza, including a 'weapons warehouse', a 'war room' and other 'infrastructure' belonging to the 'Hamas terror organisation'. More than 11,070 Palestinians, two-thirds of them women and children, have been killed since the war began, according to the Hamas-controlled health ministry.
