Israel announces strikes in Rafah after Hamas accept ceasefire

ISRAELI forces have begun striking eastern Rafah 24 hours after dropping leaflets telling tens of thousands of people to leave the area.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said the proposal was “far from Israel’s essential demands”, but it would send negotiators to continue talks on an agreement.

The IDF tweeted that they are “currently conducting targeted strikes against Hamas terror targets in eastern Rafah in southern Gaza.”We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories.
