It appears to be a ruse designed to get her deal through parliament in substantially unaltered form, or to spread the blame if a long extension becomes necessary. For the prime minister, the offer to Labour has the added benefit of distracting from the acceptance of European parliament elections as the price of an extension beyond 12 April.
She hasn’t kept her word to date why should she start now? She is a worm.
