Brianna Ghey, 16, was being taught in the same 'inclusion room' as Scarlett Jenkinson, 15, at a school in Warrington, Cheshire, before her death in February last year, a coroner was told today.

Listen to an interview with Esther Ghey on our podcast. Watch ' Brianna Ghey : Teen Murderers Unmasked' on theThe inquest into the death of murdered trans teenager Brianna Ghey will examine whether she was put at risk when one of her killers was moved into her class, a coroner revealed today.

Jenkinson was moved to Birchwood from Culcheth for giving another pupil sweets laced with cannabis five months before Brianna's murder.Eddie Ratcliffe was jailed for at least 20 years for his role in the murder of Brianna GheyLawyers from Warrington Borough Council, which is carrying out its own investigation, were also present.

'Could it reasonably have been foreseen that Brianna was at risk by placing her in the same inclusion room as Scarlett Jenkinson? Their trial, at Manchester Crown Court, heard that Jenkinson, who binged on horror films and watched real-life torture and murder on the dark web, became obsessed with Brianna after she was moved to her school, in October 2022.The coroner said that Jenkinson had been on a trial transfer to Birchwood but was also still registered on the roll at Culcheth High School, so was 'dual registered' at both schools when Brianna died.

Ms Devonish said that the inquest could also hear evidence about a Regulation 28 ruling - a ruling by which a coroner could send a report to individuals or organisations with a view to preventing further deaths. Ms Dudley-Jones said that the judge had stated that Ratcliffe had been motivated 'in part' by hostility to Brianna's transgender status.
