Ice bar opening delayed due to sculpture breakage

has been delayed due to a mishap. One of the sculptures in the ice bar has smashed so visitors booked in on opening day were unable to be admitted.in town but the team behind the incredible sculptures are busy creating a new one at their studio in West Yorkshire which will be delivered in a refrigerated van and installed before the weekend.has a different theme and for 2022 it's I Believe in Miracles.

"Each sculpture takes two to three days to carve and then one or two days to stack the blocks of ice together. We started as sand sculptors - you don't need to wear as many clothes. With ice we wear ski gear, chainsaw trousers and protective shoes because we are using sharp and very dangerous tools Edward Mellors, director of the Mellors Group, which organises the Christmas market in partnership with Nottingham City Council, said:"They are amazing artists. They sculpted Cinderella from a toy just a few inches high."
