Scotland's Test and Protect system is a key part of the efforts to control coronavirus clusters. As First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced that lockdown measures are to beScotland has favoured a"boots on the ground" approach when it comes toAs soon as a cluster is detected, local NHS health protection teams take charge of the incident. The belief is that local knowledge is the best way to break a cluster down.
Then contact tracers get on the phone, visit premises and continue to assess the risk of spread and whether additional testing is required. So far, I'm told people have been largely compliant when asked to isolate because they have been in contact with a positive case. It's a virtual call centre where about 100 trained contact tracers triage calls and manage the most straightforward positive cases. They will also do some checking on people arriving back from destinations where quarantine rules are in place to make sure returning travellers are not displaying symptoms.
There is no magic number of cases that will see a reintroduction of measures. That will depend on whether the public health teams believe they can still break the chains of transmission. In Aberdeen, some businesses had already voluntarily decided to close for a period.
Wish she was r prime minister xx
The ratio of testing in Scotland is abysmal
When you've only got 900 to test & track it's hardly difficult !!!! working with a population only the size of Manchester, anything less than 99% would be disgraceful.....she needs to keep it all in context.

BBCPolitics Would one of the uncontactable individuals be the TheInvisibleMan Boris Johnson?
But we have a baroness who is being promoted...
BBCPolitics I find that difficult to believe.
Meanwhile England’s world beating system isn’t. The person in charge, who happens to be married to a Tory MP, gets promoted.
Off to the Covidcamps with them!
I know the 'English' government no longer communicates through any formal channels but the Scottish figures sound a great deal better than anything the England equivalent have been doing. I could of course be wrong and sure it will not be the government's fault.
