343 Industries' original scope for Halo Infinite's open world was significantly scaled back, according to 343's Joseph Staten.

), head of creative at 343 Industries Joseph Staten explained that 343 had to scale back the original design of Halo Infinite's open world."The team went through a lot of iterations on scope and biome variety before I joined the team, and even after I joined the team, we had to make choices about where to scale back," Staten said."We just didn't have the time to go after the level of fidelity across as much variety as we wanted to.

Halo Infinite was 343 Industries' first-open world game, so it's understandable that the studio didn't quite realise its original vision for the game and had to par it back and revise its plan in several places. Staten then goes on to talk about the struggle of managing and balancing expectations of Halo Infinite's open world."We wanted to free ourselves from a lot of the expectations of open world games, which is why we struggled for a long time in terms of how to talk about it in terms of our marketing promotion because we didn't want people to get the wrong impression. We are like an open world game in as much as our game is a lot more open than it used to be.

I love Joe, but he has been dealt such a shitty hand thanks to 343's lack of management.

Mercedes: Ending year as F1’s "first loser" not the target🗣️'Second or third in the constructors' world championship is not so relevant compared to really racing and being at the front.' Overhauling Ferrari for second in the F1 constructors standings matters less to Toto Wolff than Mercedes winning races again: Merc will be second. Toto should not worry and send gift to Mattia for some brilliant tactic he will do the next race, and the next, and the next… Yes, good luck to Wolff to winning races without the dream team whilst flying the number 13 flag. All this with a pensioner who has hit 300 grand prix and a rookie without a win under his belt. Couldn't ask for a better combination. All or nothing lads **Second, first loser,” he said, when asked about the chances of now beating Ferrari this season.** Oh yes, only people that have won 8 consecutive championships know that second place is just a bride's maid hence the immortal quote...
