Anyone who behaves like a respectable civilised human being would not find the need to use NDAs for this purpose. Some people are simply judged in the courts of law by the company they keep, a level playing field in the courts will stop people feeling above the law.

'Sir Philip has been the centre of an eight-month investigation by the Daily Telegraph.' You still can't say that.

This man is at the very best a loathsome self serving excuse of a human. I wish his multi million pound yacht was sunk instead of the BHS pensions he sunk, along with the entire company brand.

No he's been called arrogant for potentially damaging the standing of the judiciary by using parliamentary privilege to ignore the law Lords. He is also EMPLOYED BY THE FIRM OF LAWYERS WHO ARE CHALLENGING THE NON DISCLOSURE ORDER IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Bring me solo and wookie

If other as yet silenced people abused by named person hear of this then perhaps they shall approach the police. This is the norm when £100'sK legal fees and political donations have no bearing. Now why have I not heard this before....

Absolutely arrogant! Clear conflict between the Judicature and Legislative. Hain is not elected and therefore totally overstepped his privileged position. Who is he to presume he knows better than the judiciary. It is interesting to note his link with the Law Firm involved!

s9tmt branded 100% biased in favour of Brexit.

The House of Lords exists for the Tory party Labour Party liberal party independent parties. The place is an utter sham. Unelected morons who decide on laws made by elected mps in the U.K. In the case of sir green. He can’t buy a ticket on this. TOUGH SHITE

I hope it never becomes routine that politicians, hiding behind Parliamentary Privilege, interfere in the course of Justice. They would be allowed to accuse anybody of anything without redress. Only despots override the judiciary.

The MP was wrong, he has no knowledge of the case, 2 of the women involved did not want it to go public. All the women chose to accept the money in exchange for silence. There must be some form of redress when MPs chose to ignore the law on the basis of 1 phone call

Some may say it takes two to tango.

Lord Hainford was right it's really that simple

Lord Hain was right to use parliamentary privilege. I salute you 👍

Just remind me what Dominic Greave resigned for. How does he get to high moral ground. As if.

Hate to say it but has Hain used Parly Privilege to go all Tommy Robinson on us? Judge Heather Norton on contempt of court: “It is about ensuring that a trial can be carried out justly and fairly, it’s about being innocent until proven guilty.”

Not at all.

Grieve and Green must be cut from the same cloth. Guess he thinks it’s ok for the rich to buy their way out of trouble or keep it quiet. Gagging laws are only there for the rich to hide behind

Grieve going on about Democrocey yet look at him and his gang off 12 doing his best t stop Brexit , a Democratic Vote was taken Greives it’s you not respecting Democrocey. I read somewhere Any MP or anyone I Parliment who Harrased Sexual Attention would b investigated b no names

green is the biggest arrogant sob around

If he has the evidence then he should hand it over to the police and let them investigate any allegations.

Hain has 'monetary' interests in telegraph to disclose the Non disclosure agreements who are trying to ban NDA

Judges rule on the law. The is law biased in favour of the rich elite. Hain spoke in the public interest. Change the law - Remove the bias or see it rightly undermined.

I detest Phillip Green, he is odious but what Hain has done is not acceptable in the slightest. It was for the courts to decide, this is a political move and nothing to do with the victims. Hain is an idiot who views hhis judgement better than and above the Law!!!!

Pmsl

Does take one to know one.. Sir Philip Green believe that because he can afford it and as he is denying the allegations, he shouldn't be named. Well because you rich, maybe you should behave and respect people .

Need more people like that ! The rich get away with to much youcantbuyallofus

So what? Aren't we missing the point here?

Why?....cos you have enough money doesn’t put you above the law

Old saying Don't Shoot the Messenger. They are trying to deflect attention from the real wrongdoer.Typical BBC.

Yes he is!! Innocent until proven guilty

Trial by media ?

Philip Green is an arrogant prick; just because he has big stick ( loads of money) he looks down he’s conk at the common people, lock him up.

Yes but whose more arrogant thinking he could get away with bullying and sexual harassment?

DIG DEEPER YOU MIGHT FIND ANOTHER JIMMY .

Peter Hain is one of the few Labour MPs I have always respected. His recent action in the Lords is representative of his morality and integrity. Which are qualities which the cretin he named has no understanding of. Well done m'Lord.

alright when giggs was named-but not this snake-typical tory hypocrisy-richer and more devious you are the more this motley crew like it. tory robin hood-rob the poor to give to the rich

No prizes for guessing who is top of Green’s Christmas card list.

Good on Lord Haine. Why should arrogant Green get away with it? Title should be taken away from him.

I’m getting the word ....

The only ''' arrogant person is the one in the picture ''' end of .

BURNT TOAST ,

Arrogant? So what does that make Green?

He is and works for the legal firm who case it is.When will the slime stop Another jumped up Labour nomark.

Sir

Branded 'arrogant'. His air of superiority and PP entitlement means that he has effectively been contemptuous of an appeal Court. Others like Tommy Robinson are charged and spend time in jail. I suspect Mr Hain will not suffer the same indignity

Lord Hain is a bit of a hero now.....

Arrogant? I'd say he used his parliamentary position for something worthwhile. Maybe the others could take notice. Why should people know a man as 'Sir' when he wanted to take the pensions off his workers and is, to put it simply, deviant. Fuck him.

Hain is a paid adviser to the Telegraph's lawyers.

Green is also arrogant thinking he can buy the law

Hain is a bitter South African Communist! Why you ever let Comrade Hain into your country is beyond understanding.

A serial criminal who buys justice and silence is denounced and that's wrong. The law is an ass and so is Dominic Grieve. Actually I thought he was long dead. Just popped up to remind us all he's still above ground.

Good on the lord I guessed it was PG

Oh well shit happens sometimes to scum like Green

Sir Philip Green’s identity ‘not disclosed lightly’ says HainPeer denies links to ‘Daily Telegraph’ law firm influenced his decision to use parliamentary privilege As a member of the public it is in my interest to know that Philip Green, who through his own actions has shown himself to be a terrible person, is somehow even worse than we thought. He shouldn’t have been allowed to cover this up. I’m interested in how that was allowed. Hain hiding behind privilege. Why does he think he has precedence over the courts ? He doesn’t and this is just abuse of due process. Not disclosed 'lightly' but prematurely. Parliamentarians should not usurp the power of the courts. The injunction was temporary; the proceedings not concluded. Hain either acted rashly or to get himself in the headlines again.

ConflictofInterest? Philip Green is an odious individual. His actions in the BHS scandal should have seen him stripped of his knighthood and a substantial part of his fortune. He is, however, entitled to the same protections our legal system offers us all. Trial by media may suit the Telegraph and the baying press pack but the law of the land must hold primacy in any event. Peter Hain, a known self publicist, has abused parliamentary privilege and should be held to account by his party.
