Politicians and charities concerned that some families have no access to toilets or water for drinking or washing

Gypsy and Traveller communities around the country have been left without water and sanitation facilities during the coronavirus lockdown, prompting concern from politicians and charities.

Water is a basic human right. It is nothing short of scandalous that this already marginalised community has to go without proper hydration.

Appalled by the meanness and inhumanity in some of the comments here. I think the settled community can afford to share water with the very small number of travellers.

They'll be entitled to a pro rata refund on their Council Tax/Water rates. ( ! )

Racism against the travelling community appears to be persistant while people take to the streets to call out other forms of racism.

Called discrimination are we civilized in 2020 or not...
