Grenfell firms 'knew cladding would fail in fire'Emails suggest companies involved in the tower's refurbishment knew the risk ahead of the fire. Then why was it put on? This is quite shocking & makes the scapegoating of the fire brigade even worse! One of the problems of accepting European fire rating standards rather than BS476. And one of the reasons we don't want 'equivalence' standards with the EU. There is a question about the standards of issuing certification in the EU. All UK standards should now be BS kitemark.
