The sky-high apartment takes up the whole of the 38th floor of 50 United Nations Plaza - a 42-storey luxury tower in Manhattan.
It will serve as the official residence for Antony Phillipson, the UK trade commissioner for North America and consul general in New York.The GuardianMr Phillipson will use the apartment, previously home to US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, to try and secure trade deals for post-Brexit Britain.The apartment was purchased by “Her Britannic Majesty’s Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs” for $15,900,000 on March 15.
“As well as being the consul general’s residence, it will also be used to support his work to help British businesses as Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for North America.
At least we know how the money being spent. All these brexit drama for their own personal agenda !
