A two-year-old girl was hit in the eye by a can of Stella Artois lager hurled by drunken football yobs on a train. Isla Anderson was with her mum, dad and sister travelling to Blackpool for an Easter weekend away when a group of 20Her horrified mum Diane, 34, said they were drinking from cans and glasses of beer and were singing, shouting abuse and banging on the train’s windows.As the yobs got off the train, the can was thrown towards the family, showering them with lager and striking Isla on the side of her left eye.British Transport Police confirmed an investigation was under way.
Diane from New Moston, Manchester, said: ‘The holiday was supposed to be an Easter treat for the kids. Isla was screaming and crying her eyes out. ‘I am so upset – it was just horrible. She was left with a nasty green bruise at the side of her eye but luckily, there is no cut.‘The group should not have been allowed on a train with all that beer. On match days, why is there not more security?
