The mum-of-two disappeared after going on a dog walk after dropping her daughters at school in St Michaels on Wyre last Friday morning . The 45-year-old had taken springer spaniel Willow along a nearby towpath next to the River Wyre from around 8.45am - and is understood to have signed into a work conference call close to 9am.
Her dog was later found wandering alone "bone dry" and agitated on the trail with her harness on the floor, while Nicola’s phone had been left on a bench overlooking the water, still logged into the call. Minutes before the meeting, during which she had switched off her camera and microphone, it is understood she texted a friend about meeting up sometime this week with her kids.
Yesterday, police cordoned off part of the walking route as divers scoured the water close to the bench where her phone was found. Lancashire Police also said a potential witness, a dog walker wearing a red coat close to where Ms Bulley was last seen, had now been traced. The appeal to find Nicola has been spread far and wide as people across the country are volunteering to help search. Now, actress and presenter Gemma Atkinson has furthered the appeal by sharing a picture with her 1.8million followers.
This morning she shared a picture of Nicola to her Instagram stories, writing: "Someone must know something about Nicola. I keep thinking about her and her children."
