The search for Nicola Bulley continues as police confirm they have searched miles up and down the banks of the River Wyre.
Anybody who has seen Nicola, or has information about where she might be, is asked to call 101, quoting log 565 of January 30th. For immediate sightings please call 999.Kev Camplin, of Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue, led a team of 25 trained volunteers in a search on the day Nicola went missing. He says they searched a long stretch of the river, including wooded areas, water margins and the grounds of a large unoccupied country house.
The River Wyre is approximately 28 miles long. It begins in the Forest of Bowland near the village of Abbeystead, running south through Dolphinholme. The Lancaster Canal crosses the Wyre as it flows through Garstang. It continues to St Michael's on Wyre, which was where Nicola was last seen. Here it is joined by its second major tributary, the River Brock. It becomes tidal below the weir at St Michael's.
Nicola , a mortgage adviser, has lived in Lancashire for 25 years but is originally from near Chelmsford, Essex, and has a southern accent. On January 30, police confirmed they would be keeping an “open mind” about what happened but do not believe she was attacked.
