Five days after Leeds United’s win over Sheffield Wednesday, preparations for Sunday’s return to action are well underway. There was a long weekend for players to recuperate after 10 games in 35 days, but Millwall is now at the forefront of everyone’s minds before the international break.
Michael O’Neill made the most recent comments on Stuart Dallas’s progress, though they were not too different to what Farke has been saying all season. The Northern Ireland boss was asked, in February, about Dallas’s chances of making the squad for the March internationals. “Stuart and Corry are with their clubs and they are not back in terms of full training or back in their matchday squads and we just have to be patient with that and hopefully they will be fit sooner rather than later.”
Given it has been another nine days, Shackleton should be in contention for Millwall’s visit. Pascal Struijk will have a slightly longer wait than the midfielder.
