Lampard’s proudest moment as a Chelsea manager came in his debut season when he guided the club to fourth and the FA Cup final despite being under a transfer embargo“Now obviously uncle Harry [Redknapp] had a bit of an involvement with Derby and recommended him. Rightly so, he’s an intelligent guy.“He’s been given it because he is a legend at Chelsea, rightly so, under difficult circumstances with the embargo and having to nurture a [young] team.
“One of them at Chelsea, being a legend at the football club, and this isn’t anything like sticking pins in Frank, this is just factual stuff, this is what I’m coming from.”
He's not though, he's only been offered the Ev job.
A very risky move for Frank. Everton need to offload a lot of negativity.
Not many black managers getting the opportunity.
Not as lucky as the teams he manages 😂😂😂
I would hardly say kids at Chelsea ,and they did make 2 signing before the ban for that season costing 100mill
I like Frank but Everton is a poison challis for any incoming manager or player. Name one player who improved after joining Everton. On the plus side for Frank is after leaving Everton Managers normally succeed
There's a lot of jealousy from pundits and ex players regarding Frank Lampard, he's played at one of the best clubs in the premier league, he's managed them so he knows what managing a prem team is all about, and if chelsea had a different owner he might still be there.
Yes extremely lucky
TonyCascarino62 To be fair Cas, you were a lucky man to play for Celtic and you definitely didn’t do enough.
No, why even suggest that, Talk Shite 😒
Top level, made my day 🤣
Sorry did u say top level? We talking about Everton here right?
OF COURSE HE IS!
The problem with people is they don’t have foresight . Lampard has what it takes to be great manager. He’s not lucky , he’s got what it takes . You all will see what he’s going to do with Everton
which is the more desperate
1000000%,
Top level, Everton, Frank lampard the manager should never be used in the same sentence. Championship level frank and playoff places sounds better, he’s winging it big time
Ok let’s look at his credentials, almost got derby promoted, where are they now? Took over Chelsea during a transfer ban, promoted kids from the academy…got top4 fa cup final and got out of a tough CL group with academy kids no less. This man is a living Legend.
As are most managers who have only been a manager for 2 seasons
Yes
No because he was a great player
Quite frankly yes
Yes
I am amazed he was even offered the Everton Job. Lets be honest he was out of his depth at Chelsea and did a mediocre job at Derby!
More like - unlucky Everton
Put it this way - he has everything to prove. I thk he won’t manage to do that
