Coronavirus: Ethnic minorities 'over-exposed' to Covid-19

The survey of 2,585 British adults, including 750 from BAME backgrounds, suggests ethnic minorities are"over-exposed" because they are more likely to live in multigenerational households, which can reduce the ability to self-isolate and shield from the virus.

The survey found those from ethnic minority backgrounds were also more likely to say they had used public transport during lockdown - which could increase the chance of transmission because they are enclosed spaces. "Our findings explain why we are seeing outbreaks in places like Leicester, densely populated areas with multigenerational households. Many people are also struggling to pay bills so have to leave their homes to work.

Younger generations translate? Respect the rules ?

Go and track all those working in the sweat shops, back to their houses and families. Bus drivers that were identified early in the pandemic, in London they still dont wear masks.

Because they are to arrogant to listen. I live in a high ethnic minority area that has been put in local lockdown. And every day I see them all kissing cheeks shaking hand hugging. Super market without masks. In and out of each others houses. In the little 'prayer rooms'

Interesting...

Why are they called minorities?

They over expose themselves by not social distancing then you want me to feel sorry for them. White people are in front line too but white lives don't matter to the bbc

So much stupidity being spoken over this virus.

Perhaps it's something to do with their non-adherence to advice, social dynamics & maybe something in their genetic makeup which makes them more susceptible ..... please stop portraying them as victims, however, woke racially biased, virtue signalling BBC, desperate for a story.

Maybe Because their less likely to follow the rules. Do the BBC ever stop painting non whites as victims. It’s everyday 😂

Bullshit, absolute bullshit. More antiwhite lies spread by the BBC.

Because the majority of them don't follow the rules and advice!!

Of course they will be, what do you expect when they’re rioting in their thousands and stabbing each other without sticking to social distancing rules.

Everyone seems to know the real reasons appart from BBCNews.

Yawn, it's a virus, it is impossible for it to be racist. So working class people of all colours are more at risk. Apparently to the BBC 'white people don't matter'

Nonsense, just pure ignorance.

BBC HIRE 800 THUGS TO FRIGHTENED PENSIONERS

anomalies and they are many.

Obvs

The BBC - big black carers

The country is over exposed to the bias race bating BBC DEFUND THE BBC

Been in 2 supermarkets and 1 motorway service station.WITHOUT exception, the only people not wearing masks? This group. We're all in lockdown, wearing masks and losing jobs do such people can create the only hotspots in the UK and still decide to ignore it and not play their part.

And I think I know why! I saw five ethnic race people yesterday and none had masks on

The whole population is over exposed to the Bulshit!

What do you expect with so many poorly educated unskilled Immigrants. They will get poorly paid jobs and have a lower standard of living.

Maybe these people should start to practice birth control for starters. Then they could afford a better standard of living

There own fault

How much more of this clap trap is going to be published?

Same old BBC same old woke bullshit. I remember when they used to be a news organisation. Now they make Russia Today seem impartial.🤨🤨

Of course people from BAME communities are more likely to say they feel more hard done by. It's the rhetoric you, and other media outlets, have been pushing for months and it's the 'news' story you're out there fishing for 🎣

Don't follow the rules and don't wear mask.

All those protests probably didn't help.

Wow....locking BAME down more to protect them....its a bit of an emotive topic not sure they woukd be happy but then hey, all lives matter, right?

A report by an independent organisation (not gov commissioned) whose whole focus and ethos is about promoting/telling everyone that the UK is a racist country and most of its staff are BAME ethnicity. Looks like they spend all their time with anti white glasses on.

it's their own fault ,BBC according to them and your racist reporting everything is worse for them in the UK.maybe if they stop marching like Hitlers secret army and mixing in their groups and do as they are told it would be better ,like most white;s do

We’ve all had to make sacrifices regarding seeing our family. Some people on the other hand haven’t. Some people don’t like rules and don’t stick to them...

So we should give them all cars so they can stay off public transport and bigger houses so they can spread out their large families more but we can't afford to because we're paying the BBC for these pathetic stories.

Cultural, and certain communities have larger family, with some having more than one wife?

Keep on stirring the pot bbc

Hello fellas I’m a American man what do you guys think about gun control in the states

They expose themselves with their lifestyles, multiple household and not adhering to social distancing. Same rate for white too who refuse to adhere to guidance.

If ethnic minorities are more affected then it's not about being 'more exposed'. It's about Lifestyles choices and practices (and to be confirmed-DNA). Choosing to have very large families, living mainly in cities, occupying social housing and socialising in great numbers.

Why is it always the fault of someone else? Many minority owned businesses in Leicester were reporting that other ‘minorities’ were not respecting the ‘rules’.

All of which can be avoided by social distancing and an efficient face mask and/or visor. It’s not rocket science for crying out loud ......

BBC really get some real news

Take strict steps against all who are not adhering rules! Covid is infectious nd fatal! Meanwhile we lost many many lives! Oh! Any time we might loss our beloved ones! If these people dont like to stay long at home then kill themselves. but dont be the reason of other's dying!

😴😴😴😴

Not people in cities then?

Its a fecking virus. It doesn't discriminate.

Are you saying that the Coronavirus is racist?
