Former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has revealed her connection to one of her new Strictly Come Dancing competitors goes back a long way. The actress is currently hard at work in training for the BBC One dance contest after signing up for the 2023 run.
And like the previous series, the first episode of the hit competition show will see the 15 brand new celebrities welcomed to the Strictly ballroom for the first time. It also means that viewers will also find out which professional dancer they'll be paired with. It won't be until the following week, Saturday, September 23, that the competition will truly begin when the couples take to the dancefloor in the first live show of the series.
She has now been speaking about her decision to agree to take part in this year's series ahead of being seen in the ballroom for the first time. "Well, I've always wanted to do Strictly, always! Ever since I was younger, I've been obsessed with dancing and watching dancing," the 22-year-old shared.
