The DWP has released data around 'review outcomes' over the five-year period between February 2019 and January 2024

A whopping 220,000 people have had their Personal Independence Payments stopped by the DWP after a tough review of their situations. The DWP made strict decisions when checking if these large numbers of people should still get the payments.

People can get PIP if they find it hard to do certain everyday tasks because of a health problem. How much they get depends on how bad their condition is and how much it affects their life.Sometimes, the DWP does checks to see if people's health has gotten better. This could mean, in their view, they don't need PIP anymore, reports Birmingham Live.
