Drunk dad went on violent rampage in bar

A drunk dad stormed into a bar and hurled chairs at patrons and staff in an apparently unprovoked violent outburst.

Andrew Sinker, prosecuting, said: "He entered Charlies Bar at 2.47pm in an aggressive manner and was seen to pick up chairs, throw them. goes out and returns, throwing chairs towards customers, and throws what looks like a glass. A steel stool is thrown at a lady behand the bar. It continues for about two minutes until he leaves the premises.

He said two weeks after the rampage, Cooper had been admitted to hospital with serious health complications, and he had continued to suffer from poor health after being discharged. He said: "The out of control male who was using drink and drugs is no longer the Cooper who sits at the back of the court, and that's in part because of what happened in hospital. But also following that incident he has stopped the use of alcohol and drugs.
