Deepfakes are a form of media that are digitally manipulated to replace one person’s likeness convincingly with that of another. And troublingly, a report into deepfakes in 2023 shows that deepfake pornography constitutes 98% of all deepfake videos found online. And that 99% of those targeted by deepfake pornography are women.
