Dancing on Ice's Greg Rutherford shares moment it 'went wrong' and missed final

Greg Rutherford has shared the moment he suffered a painful injury that saw him have to be cut from the Dancing on Ice final. .

Host Holly Willoughby said at the time that everyone was "completely gutted" that Greg had to pull out of the show hours before facing Adele Roberts, Ryan Thomas and Miles Nazaire in the final round of the show. Co-host Stephen Mulhern said he was "so sorry" for Rutherford and sent him well wishes before actor Ryan later dedicated his win to the sportsman.

"Here we gooooo. This is the showcase we didn’t get the perform due to injury," Greg started the caption of his post. "The point where I dive through Colin and Brendyn’s legs is where everything went wrong last Sunday. This is from either Friday or Saturday so I was still ironing out a few timings issues .

Instagram He added: To have @torvillanddeanofficial choreograph a full routine for us too was so special. I loved working with them. Although I won’t be able to skate for maybe a couple of months. I intend on getting back on the ice and keeping it up. I really do love it."
