Police were called at 12.52am today to Golden Way, Penwortham – near to Liverpool Road – to a report of
The cyclist, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital. Golden Way was closed for several hours as part of the police investigation and has now reopened.Sgt Martin Kavanagh of Lancashire Police’s Road Policing Unit, said: “The cyclist suffered serious injuries and our thoughts are with him as he undergoes treatment in hospital.“If anyone witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from Golden Way around the time it happened, we ask you to contact police.
