Customers have been 'blown away' by a new deli in Daybrook which launched earlier this month. The Daybrook Deli on the A60 Mansfield Road officially opened on Friday, March 8, after weeks of refurbishment by the new owner, Becky Payne.
"It was an empty premises so it's all been refurbished and we've had lots of repeat customers and new customers every day and we're getting busier and busier." The front of the business has some seating areas and customers can enjoy range of cold items, such as sandwiches, doughnuts from Doughnotts, and fill-your-own salad bowls.
The business, located near the county council's offices in the former Home Brewery building, has recently been graded a five - and 'Very Good' - by the Food Standards Agency, and Becky is keen to do everything as homemade as possible. She continued: "Everyone is really blown away when they come in and see the difference.
"Everyone is commenting on the vibe when they come in here as well, people come in and work here and we have USB points for chargers and we have free Wi-fi." She explained that the Doughnotts donuts are fresh every morning and "they just sell out".
