Maybe if I got a stimulus payment I could buy a new phone and stop using this iPhone

I was all for this app but I can’t say I’m surprised by this at all. As a user, every technological exchange I’ve had with the Australian Government has been unpleasant.

It’s also not available outside of the Aus App Store. So many people like me have phones locked to the US App Store, for example. We’re unable to download.

yeah can't wait to download an app my MP is writing release notes for

Wish the Guardian app was the same!

So in Morrison’s own words he can’t reach his reliable download target hence he cannot open up anybpdd as it of the economy?

The headline should make it clear it’s about an Australian app, not the UK one.

JerryHicksUnite Of course it failed. Everything else has. Hancock's targets for one.

I’m not downloading it. It isn’t even functioning on any device yet.

IMHO what was the total cost of this app? If it’s not opt in then it shouldn’t be allowed.

I assume the app is called Covfefe in the U.S?

Why would they wait until the end of the pandemic to delete the data? Surely once the data is 21 days old it can be deleted? I'd prefer them to do it in a considered, measured manner rather than 'racing' as racing rarely improves software.

The app – officially known as NHS COVID-19, and made for iOS and Android – is being trialled in To be honest we at the government have no idea how the virus tracking app works, but we've been trying to get around all that pesky human rights legislation for years to impose something like this on you.
