The Country Park, off Cliff Road by Hessle Foreshore, has lodged a bid to licence its outdoor areas surrounding its existing indoor bar and function room. The application proposes licensing hours for the outdoor area, including its car park, of 11am to 11pm, seven days a week. An East Riding Council report stated two objections have been made against the application but it did not set out the details of the complaints.
Drinks sold outside for consumption on the premises would be poured into non-glass vessels. The representations made against the application were on public safety grounds. Other than the two representations made against the application, none have been lodged by responsible authorities which enforce licensing rules. The application stated an record book would be used to log any incidents which occur in the area for up to a year. This would be made available to Humberside Police on request.
