bbc5live Absolute zero trust in ANYTHING this man says .

reintroducing measures in response to a localised outbreak surely isn’t a strategy that would work when there are still 8k new cases per day?

How many new cases are severe enough to require hospitalisation. The 'R' is becoming more confusing now you are making it regional. If we could see that daily hospital admissions and discharges were moving in the right direction, that would give us more faith in your strategy.

Hopefully the government can stick to their words and lockdown areas where they see outbreak. Then the idiots who seem intent on proving they are immune can be forced indoors

No that's a no, said the same on Sunday, without of course saying it.

BBC is shite

How many people need to be sacrificed by the government in order to trigger a change in their thinking. If the government want to play Russian roulette they should play it with their own lives, they have already shot themselves in the foot over the Cummings fiasco.

NatalieHats BBCHughPym Why highlight the question and not give a balanced view of the answer. I fact why tweet it at all.

I invested $200 with mr Nes vquez within a short period of time 7days i go back $5,500 i didn't believe this at first, all to you Sir, i appreciate your work👇👇👇dm him. vqueznes

Communicated that decision to whom?... Each other but not the GPs etc?

BBCHughPym It’s the reverse of “why isn’t there enough PPE?” - think about it Hugh there’s a good chap

BBCHughPym А вы как думаете?

🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

MattHancock think he meant it had been rushed through because on Thursday night the advise was nothing had changed for people are shielding. 2 days later it’s all changed! Who is my mum supposed to listen to the NHS told her to shield until the end of July!!

I hope you are going to ask why 111 deaths yet number goes up 554.

It really is beyond me now how Matt Hancock can stand there and believe his own lies! Terrible behaviour by one of the most senior people in Government

BBCScotlandNews So Westminster used UK figures to intentionally provide inaccurate data about Scotland again.

Nothing about how Coronavirus spreads, it’s incubation period or people being asymptomatic but infectious has changed. Simon has had sepsis 3x and deteriorates rapidly when he’s had other infections. Feel very anxious until there’s a vaccine.

BBCPolitics BBCHughPym Does he have a liddle tank too?

BBCPolitics HanCOCK. Full of dung!

BBCScotlandNews

So if a patient or carer is worried, will he/she ring you MattHancock rcgp needs to speak out 😡

BBCHughPym There is no system and you guys never asked for details - shame

jkaffash Communicated to the press ! GPs and their leaders shouldn’t have to tune in to Sunday morning politics shows to get their policy updates & them wait for the updated guidance to appear just before surgery starts on Monday morning. Show them a bit more respect

kindly follow me, and I bet to follow back.

BBCPolitics Was there a story about to appear?

BBCHughPym Baroness Dido explained this last week do you people never listen ....effective track and trace does not need smart phone technology just a phone and someone to ask the questions....think we have 25,000 in place

BBCHughPym I see that Mr Pym has joined the scaremongering/confusion building bandwagon. He had two questions ready today. 1. Contact tracers are saying they haven't enough to do. 2. Contact tracers are saying they are struggling to cope with demand. Both negative depending on the situation

The R rate is only applicable if everyone is tested u plebs !

BBCHughPym You didn't really think that question through did you? The fewer cases there are, the less the tracers have to do. It's a good thing you plonker!

We were told yesterday that the number of UK deaths recorded was 38,489. Matt Hancock stated today that there were 111 deaths today. That should be a total of 38,600. So why has the death count on today’s slides increased by 556 and now showing a total of 39,045?

BBCPolitics Perhaps because the Government doesn’t think that people are stupid and unable to decide for themselves.

BBCHughPym World beating

People are reacting as though it's been made compulsory for them to go outside? 🙄🤔

BBCScotlandNews BBCHughPym They’ll be busy shortly. Beach parties/horse racing resumption & a general I will please myself attitude they inherited from Cummings will raise the infection & Death rates soon. In Scotland we mainly ignore these buffoons.

BBCHughPym Common sense surly but not according to theherald or PandJLive !

Except for viewers in Scotland.

I have been going out for dog walks when no one is around first thing. But I simply do not believe they have been working on this for some time. I have been careful for 24 yrs, but I just worry about newer patients that will just be really confused right now & scared.

End this bullshit lockdown. C'mon, people, they've got absolute power, no-one should have that. They're controling even the smallest parts of our lives, our mental health, our relationships, including intamacy. They're moulding our kids for their own ends. This has to stop.

bbc5live My in-laws GP understands it very well and has told them to stay put! Government doesn't know it's R's from it's elbow!

Who cares what this government says. They are utter crap anyway. Read actual facts... from various sources (and not The Sun) and determine yourself if it’s safe or not. I fear that if Boris said jump off a cliff.... too many would follow.

Communicated it to who Himself?

How many more lives was possible to save by introducing contact tracing 3 months ago?

BBCHughPym

What is the point of these briefings if you FAIL TO ANSWER THE QUESTION? MattHancock was asked why rush the decision about shielding and it was not answered, just waffle waffle and nonsense? What a joke this is

BBCHughPym He's lying again

BBCHughPym Do any of you even know how to apologise?

BBCHughPym If everything's working so well, why has the number of call attempts required before giving up on Contact been trebled?

BBCHughPym Thanks Hugh for asking the question. Not surprised that You didn’t get an answer though!

That’s a barefaced lie, it was not communicated.

liebshen15 With no notice MattHancock Covid19UK

This guy has no shame. Not sure how he sleeps at night knowing that he’s telling explicit lies everyday.

BBCHughPym MattMeansDied HurrrahISurrenderHandsUp LegallyAWonka

BBCHughPym Do the maths 3500 test 25000 testers. Some will not have spoken to anyone

BBCHughPym So they're just working from confirmed tests? Is there no means to work from suspected cases, as we were told the ap would be able to provide?

BBCHughPym Lower infection rate🙄

Usual bodge job, just announce changes on the hoof, no coherent plan, no track & tracing, play it by ear. 2nd wave incoming

Hancock the Tyrant!

'Once we made the decision... we then communicated that decision'. To who exactly and when? But more importantly, why? Buffoon.

Absolute bollox...Gps and the people who were shielding should have been told before you broadcast it...utter shambles the lot of em

BBCPolitics If it was worked on for some time, why was the guidance updated on the 29th with no mention of this change, then within 24 hours suddenly it was safe to go out, why bother to update on the 29th if next day it was to have this change made ToriesAreKillingUs

Where’s Cummings

They treat us like idiots

Blackpool is reported to have an R rate if 1.6. This weekend has been busier than the busiest season and the illumination season. What does the government propose to do about this?

bbc5live Don't put any faith in this ridiculous tracer app nonsense, it simply doesn't work! They're floundering around making excuses in the briefing today, it's so clear to see they're clueless! 😤

BBCHughPym Totally unbelievable answer from MattHancock - How many contacts have been tracked and traced? I don’t have those numbers SkyNews - what absolute tosh! Any minister worth tuppence would have exactly those numbers at his or her fingertips! It’s DataScience 101 getthenumbers

You didn’t tell GPs. Didn’t consult with the people whose job it is to look after these people. You didn’t even tell them.

Why should we believe anything Matt Hancock says? The man is a compete imbecile.

Ok Matt 😉

‘Because we want you to talk about these dangerous decisions rather than dominiccummings ‘ COVIDー19

BBCHughPym Just think when they started recruiting journalists were complaining that gov were not recruiting enough tracers. Today modelling of number required was wrong. Better to have too many?

...he’s a liar

Coronavirus test and trace system ‘creating false sense of security’Ministers accused by city leaders and local authorities of launching operation before it is ready to contain local outbreaks It’s creating a sense of security? Great role modelling, take your kids to violent protests The only way to beat the virus is to assume that one has it and that everybody one comes into contact with has it. Using these assumptions, to dictate one’s behaviour, will see the R rate fall rapidly. However, this requires individual responsibility and accountability - oh dear!
