A distillery in Clydebank has been granted a new licence to provide food onsite from external caterers by West Dunbartonshire Council.
The Auchentoshan Distillery in Dalmuir already serves alcohol from Monday to Sunday between 10am and 11pm but wants to expand the services it already offers to customers. In addition to the supply of alcohol, the distillery will offer conference facilities and receptions including weddings, funerals, birthdays and retirement parties. The premises already provides a visitors shop for the sale of the company’s products and souvenirs.Councillor Chris Pollok said: “It says that children and young people that are attending a function will be allowed entry at the discretion of management.Members were advised that this rule was already on the licence.
Councillor Jonathon McColl said: “I remember when the licence was granted it was because there were certain events that were not suitable for children to be part of. “It means that management can refuse if there is some sort of event that is not suitable for children.”Join Glasgow Live's WhatsApp community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages
