Climate activists have marched on a Grangemouth plant as part of a "day of resistance" against the INEOS oil refinery.
The protest left Kinneil Estate, just outside of Bo’ness, on Saturday morning, where people from the local community and across the world have been participating in one of the country's largest climate camps. “We can build truly sustainable communities, but we must be led by those whose lives are most at risk, locally and globally.
They held banners reading “resist and renew”, with one entering the terminal itself holding a sign that said “Ineos: profiting from poverty and pollution”.INEOS' operations in Grangemouth created 2.4 million tonnes of annual emissions as reported by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency in their latest figures.
