Charlie Colin, bassist in 90s band Train, dies after falling in shower

Charlie Colin was best known for being in hit 00s band Train Train bassist Charlie Colin has died aged 58 after falling in the shower. The bassist’s mother confirmed his death to TMZ and said he slipped and fell in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium. She said it was unclear exactly when the accident happened as he had been alone in the house. Colin’s body was found by his friends when they returned from their trip five days later.

Train won several Grammy Awards while Colin was in the band Meanwhile, the album became Train’s first top 10 album in the US – and also peaked at number 8 in the UK charts. To date, Train has produced 11 studio albums, with the most recent, AM Gold, released in 2022. Train’s other well-known songs include Hey, Soul Sister and Drive By. Colin was forced to leave Train in 2003 due to substance issues.
