CCTV images have shown the last movements of a Scots sailor before he vanished in the early hours near a petrol station. Josh Gayton has been missing from Helensburgh since the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers are also looking to trace the drivers of two vehicles which they say could have past Josh as he was walking towards a footpath on East Clyde Street between 12.15am and 12.46am - when he was last spotted near to Lomond Street, walking alone away from the town centre. Local Area Commander Chief Inspector Allan Dickson said: “It is unusual for Josh to not be in touch with anyone and we are concerned about him.
“We have significant resources dedicated to this enquiry and we are urging the public to come forward with any information relating to his whereabouts. “If anyone has seen Joshua, or has any information as to his whereabouts, please contact police. I would also urge people who live in the area to check outbuildings and sheds.”
