Trump's lawyers have moved to delete a post published on the former president’s social account showing him brandishing a baseball bat

Barr told Fox News that his former boss “lacks all self control”, and warned it would be a “particularly bad idea” for Trump to testify in his own defence during his New York City trial.

Former Manhattan district attorney Cyrus Vance, who preceded Bragg in office, told NBC News that he was “disturbed” by Trump’s conduct towards his successor. He suggested Trump risks “committing some other criminal offense, like obstruction of governmental administration which is interfering with… the operation of government”. He warned that any additional charges thrown on top of the existing indictment “can change the jury’s mind about the severity of the case they’re looking at”.

One weekend email accused Bragg of “a blatant attempt to interfere in the 2024 election” and claimed “we will not allow the Biden regime’s weaponised law enforcement and corrupt justice system to destroy our America First movement”.
