A self-described ‘Tuk Tuk addict’ wheeled out his souped-up vehicle in Canary Wharf today before his attempt toFreight firm boss Matt Everard, 46, from Billericay, Essex, bought the 1971 Thai Tuk Tuk for £3,000 after a drunken night of online shopping on eBay.

The record attempt will be held at Elvington Airfield in North Yorkshire on May 13, with donations encouraged to help raise money for Essex charity Havens Hospices.
