RAIL passengers will be stopped from boarding some services unless they have a seat reservation from today - with thousands of cops patrolling stations.
Industry body the Rail Delivery Group has said that services will be increased from around 50% of the standard timetable to 70%. Will Rogers, managing director at East Midlands Railway, has said that the timetable will allow for "a small rise" in passengers, but urged Brits "to only go by train if it is necessary".
