A six-year-old wheelchair user was left straining to see his basketball heroes over the barriers at the Commonwealth Games.

His frustrated mum Amy, 37, said: ‘We had been looking forward to coming to the Games for a long time.

Bobby – whose older brother Leo, seven, is also a wheelchair user – was left having to perch uncomfortably on his mum and her 41-year-old partner Robert’s laps for the match. Amy is calling for Games officials to offer a hotline service for people with accessibility issues as ‘our needs are diverse, and having someone to speak to can be really helpful and reassuring’.
