Blue Peter fans were left gobsmacked when they discovered former host Sarah Greene's real age following her youthful appearance on Friday's The One Show.

'Watching The One Show and Sarah Greene still looks gorgeous': 'Sarah Greene is on telly & still looks amazing at 66. You're welcome': 'Sarah Greene was my favourite on Blue Peter. How have I aged and she hasn't?': 'Looking fabulous Sarah love the outfit'. Sarah, who now hosts with BBC quiz show The Finish Line, made her return to TV last year almost a decade after death of her husband and BBC's Breakfast Time host Mike Smith aged 59 from complications after heart surgery in 2014.

'Offers of TV came in but for a long time I was trying to learn this new business but also feeling too raw. Only time can help that, you know when you feel ready, when you have that energy.'
