Beyond Paradise star Kris Marshall , best known for his role as DI Humphrey Goodman, opened up about a particularly harrowing experience during filming in the Congo. The actor shared with the Irish Mirror the terrifying moment when he narrowly escaped being kidnapped by armed militants.
Despite the ordeal, Kris has returned to the screen, reprising his role in the second series of Beyond Paradise. Having portrayed the DI from 2014 to 2017 and reprising the role for the UK-set series, the popular show continues to follow Humphrey's adventures, including his romantic journey with Martha Lloyd, played by Sally Bretton, and their aspirations to expand their family.
"I'm extremely lucky that Humphrey was one of the show's most popular characters. We had already had a head start from the fans, but I also hope we've brought on board our own fans."
