Artwork that appeared on the side of a house in Bristol has been confirmed as being the work of the graffiti artist Banksy. The piece appears to be inspired by Valentine's Day, depicting a stencil of a young girl firing a slingshot of red flowers made with spray painted ivy.Banksy published a picture of the work on hisKelly Woodruff, 37, whose father owns the property, said:"I kind of like the Valentine's theme with it.Image captionShe added that the flowers that were put on the road sign had already been stolen, along with a protective plastic screen they placed on it yesterday evening.
Today in Barton Hill, we woke up with this remarkable mural art painted on one of the houses of the area.Come and have a look yourself. Whoever painted, it’s worth admiring their creativity.

It’s an absolute triumph. Daring. Challenging. Relevant yet timeless. Wonderfully executed - the stencil work is just exquisite. What a bold statement and an indictment of society’s obsession with the banal while the world is in peril. Surely the greatest living artist is he not?
