The opposition leader promises to take criticism 'on the chin' as he tries to connect with the public.

Then, if you're Sir Keir Starmer, you have inherited a party battered and broken by factions, damaged by agonies over anti-Semitism, having lost four elections in a row. You're up against a politician with a mammoth personality and, for good measure, coronavirus restrictions mean you've more or less been trapped in your own postcode.

He was pushed on a huge range of subjects. The sense at the start was not so much anger with Labour, more a quieter, stubborn disappointment.Sir Keir Starmer has had to strike a delicate balance in opposing Boris Johnson during the pandemic Over the hour or so there was no sudden rush of affection for the Labour leader, no one moment where suddenly a connection clicked between him and the audience.

No. He's a Tory.

Voters need to stop voting, informed people have had enough of thieving lying politicians from all parties. Democracy is an illusion in a monetary-based society.

So young people are bad & don't deserve money or support, but children are cute & shouldn't be poor? Ridiculous. A leader with guts would have politely but firmly called this out. Starmer nodded.

What if their local Labour candidate has totally opposite views from him on major issues? They vote for them not Starmer.

No

Nope

No

The body language tells the whole story.

who?

He seems unable to see the big picture but concentrates in minute detail on trivial things.

No

No thanks

No, I won't be listening any time soon. It seems all he is doing is contradicting the opposition just for the sake of it. The worst of old Labour.

Not until we get the Forde report FordeReport

Nope 👎🏻

Nope … man’s a buffoon

BBC News, not sure why everything that is anti-Labour has to be a question eg ‘do people care about the PM lying’, or ‘are voters ready to listen to Labour’? I’d rather a headline ‘why are people on the right still voting for a proven liar who is a little bit racist’?

Voters don’t trust backstabbers 🤧.

What does he and Labour stand for .

Fools if they do

THE IRISH GOVEREMENT HAVE NO INTENTION OF FACALATION A WATERED DOWN AGREEMENT , BRIT EXIT EFFECTS . THE SLEEPING GIANT .

Nope…. Absolute whopper 🙄

Is he ready to listen to anybody but Mandelson? Or you know, do something Like ..have a policy beyond supporting the Tories.?

I think they prefer to be lied to by BorisJohnson ... because, well, he's doing his best isn't he?

No.

Yup we listen to him but he doesn’t give a compelling argument for any of his policies.

The problem is in that headline. 'Sir'. Smacks of pompous snobbery, drop the title, msm have killed it for Starmer right there.

As somebody from the outside of the UK listening to him and seeing him I can say that I believe he can win

Who?

Is it me or does Keir hardly ever smile? I bet if he was the Prime Minister, we'd be locked down and unlocked when he felt like it!

Has Keir_Starmer uklabour discovered any policies yet or are they still going through boxes of lucky charms to find any?

At least he seems to care … BorisJohnson certainly doesn’t!

If they do, will he be speaking in words or in some kind of Union Jack-based semaphore?

I’m Labour. No

he's a wet paper bag. so probably no.
