An Antiques Roadshow expert has told how she "would have been dead within months" if she ignored her brain tumour symptoms. Theo Burrell, 37, was diagnosed with a grade four brain tumour , called a gliobastoma, in June 2022. Prior to her diagnosis, the mum-of-one had spent six months suffering from migraines, poor vision and nausea. When she eventually took herself to A&E, a CT scan revealed a mass growing inside her skull.
She soon underwent surgery to remove 90 per cent of the tumour and was told she would have between a year and 18 months to live. Theo, from East Lothian, told our sister title, Edinburgh Live: "The initial diagnosis was a huge shock. During Christmas 2021, I started getting ill. I got car sick during a journey, which was strange because I never got carsick. "I was also having migraines which made me really sick, and I was having problems with my vision.
