An Antiques Roadshow expert has told how she "would have been dead within months" if she ignored her brain tumour symptoms.
"I was also having migraines which made me really sick, and I was having problems with my vision. My son, Jonah, was one-year-old at the time and had recently started nursery so I thought I may have picked up a stomach bug. Theo, known for appearing on BBC's Antiques Roadshow as an expert, is using her experience to improve the treatment for other patients in Scotland. She gathered with campaigners on Thursday at the Scottish Parliament to push for more investment in finding a cure.
"I think when somebody is having multiple symptoms which don't add up, then we have a problem our GPs are not able to recognise. What I ended up doing was going to A&E. "My vision of my future has changed completely because I only had 12 to 18 months. That was sort of my survival time following surgery. And I'm now 21 months with no regrowth from my cancer. So I've managed to get past that 18 month period, but this tumour will grow back."
