"Running for seven magical weeks from Friday, November 17, 2023 to Saturday January 6, 2024, Edinburgh’s Christmas transforms the city centre with festive fun for all the family, including traditional Christmas Markets, classic funfair rides, spectacular outdoor events, live outdoor events, delicious, and so much more… so start dreaming of hot chocolate and mulled wine, and get ready to join in the festive fun in Edinburgh this winter.
"Last year we welcomed over 2.5M locals and visitors to Christmas attractions throughout the city centre, and we can’t wait to see you all again this year.The announcement comes after last year's festival was described as 'chaos' after the company responsible for the event pulled out at the eleventh hour.
