Airdrie have confirmed the signing of Northern Irish striker Ben Wilson, once his contract at Cliftonville expires on Monday.
The 22-year-old began his career at Coleraine and had a spell at Brighton, before returning to Cliftonville. He told Airdrie's website: "I'm happy to be here, I had a good first training session and met all the boys, and it has been good. "I'm buzzing to be here, and looking forward to getting going. I had a good season so I just want to build on that again."The club finished fourth last season, so as a collective, everybody wants to finish a bit higher and I'll just try to play my part in that and we'll se what happens."
Boss Rhys McCabe said: "We have been monitoring Ben for a large period of time. We knew he had interest from some big clubs in England and Scotland, so to get it over the line and get him in is credit to the guys who have put the hard work in. "He's a natural finisher, his numbers speak for themselves, in terms of what he brings. He has really clever movement and that predatory instinct in the box.All the latest sport news in Lanarkshire Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
