AROUND 12,000 Asda workers are reportedly "facing the sack" next month for refusing to sign up to controversial new employment terms.Asda workers held a protest outside the supermarket's head office yesterdayIf they do not sign up by November 3, Asda has said they will have to leave the company.The supermarket’s staff have claimed they will be £500 a year worse off under the new arrangements, as well as losing eight days’ annual leave through loss of bank holidays.

A spokesperson said: “We have been clear that we don’t want any of our colleagues to leave us and whilst the vast majority of colleagues have chosen to sign the new contract, we continue to have conversations with those who have chosen not to, to try and understand their concerns.”increasingly the basic rate of pay to £9 an hourIt also said the changes me all colleagues are on the same contract, rather than the six different systems currently in place.
