Former Malaysia n prime minister Najib Razak is trying to get out of jail through a judicial application . He has claimed that former king Sultan Abdullah , in issuing a partial pardon, had wanted him to serve his remaining sentence under house arrest . The pardons board had previously halved Najib’s sentence to six years and slashed his fine from RM210 million to RM50 million. Najib is to be released from prison in August 2028.
