328 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in Singapore, including 185 unlinked

in COVID-19 cases, MOH on Monday announced additional measures to slow transmission of the virus.

When a cluster is identified, MOH will send out health risk warnings and health risk alerts to people on top of quarantining close contacts. Recipients of a health risk warning will be required by law to get a polymerase chain reaction test and self-isolate until they receive a negative result. They will then need to take further antigen rapid tests and another PCR test.

The fast and easy rostered routine testing regime for employees in higher-risk settings will be expanded to more sectors, including retail, delivery and transport. Testing frequency will be increased from once every two weeks to once a week. Regular testing for employees working onsite beyond these settings will also be stepped up. Companies that are not already subject to mandatory rostered routine testing will receive ART kits for weekly testing of their staff over the next two months., while social gatherings and social interactions at workplaces will not be allowed from Wednesday.

Ho Ching needs to update herself on the science. She said yesterday that unvaccinated spreading the coronavirus. Her comments are maybe 2-3 mths outdated. 😂

Gov already informed there will be a spike and please play a part don’t cluster at local neighbourhood mall and I dont get the idea of buying a bread and eggs with a whole family queue and squeezed at the local supermarket. Just 1 or 2 pax suffix

I think we need to go for Circuit Breaker immediately instead of waiting for the ICU beds to fill up. Are we getting complacent, fatigue, or risking ourselves in a big way?

与病毒共存?病毒要与人类共存吗?

why so many cases ? ease of restrictions ? people are more relax when they are vaccinated and high rate of vaccinated ? more people moving around ? but how many are in hospitals ? has it impact other elective surgeries or treatments because of beds taken by Covid patient ?

OH MY GOD!!!!

1/2) WHY S'pore govt so nervous? 'Nearly three million people in the U.K. now suffer from the debilitating symptoms of long COVID. 'Many initially had no more than the sniffles.Of those besieged by a variety of chronic ailments, tens of thousands are children.Professor Yaneer Bar

Need to know who is being infected so others can be careful

when reopen , its normal , wont die , why so kang cheong ?

No need be alarm leh , just minor cough and headache that's all , but still need to be reported , if not government will have press conference already

Endemic announcement made earlier by pm was way too soon. MTF clearly struggling with the rise in numbers. Other countries have a larger land size, SG has to really rethink its strategy for this Covid as infection spreads fast among communities. I don’t think endemic is possible

3rd, 4th Boosters coming to Singapore soon. Then 5th,6th,7th as the Chief Fauci suggests..Need quarterly Boosts

HERE IS THE PERMANENT SOLUTION from the masters of the universe:- WE NEED FOREVER BOOSTS FROM BOOSTERS. 🤯😱👇👇 Here is the first doctor they must deal with

Israel no more a Bellwether and model for S'pore. It has turned into the No. 1 model nation for Pfizer vaccine failure and few days ago clinched the world title as No. 1 Hotspot for Covid-19. Leading all other nations. S'pore govt still following Israel?

Look at Israel. 👇👇Is S'pore also expecting to follow UK and Israel in 2 doses vaccinated deaths surge? See Briefing 22 by UK, now after 2 months of age-stratified data. This pattern is now established:case fatality rate is 3-4x LOWER in the unvaccinated

Kwakwakwakwakwa. So. Those CB, HA etc etc PAPSingapore intro only serves to break the spread? When assholes r freed fr such confinement, numbers go up again.

Govt should provide information profile of infections. Of the 328, how many are serious cases needing hospitalization? How many can make do by quarantining themselves? Dont just focus on numbers.

Live with it, follow the damn rules and stop being ignorant accept that the virus is real

not unexpected

Thought Singapore was no longer going to focus on case numbers? Please move on.

Out of these cases, how many are asymptomatic? If less than 10 are serious, aren’t we scaring ourselves then? Seriously the reporting structure should change

So with 85 percent vaccination rate. Does not reduce icu case and see spiking in infection.

Asking all employees to take ART test weekly, will surface more cases? Now is a bit of out of control, either mandate WFH, no dine out 4 weeks - 6 weeks, or live with it even 1000cases a day. A decision is needed.

SG chose the American way, and this is only the beginning.

I guess, need to WFH again, no dine out, no gatherings. It was proven before, at least 2 or 3 times, when stringent measures implemented again, WFH, no dine out, cases were dropping, but when measures eased, cases were going up.

Omg

They need to learn living with Corona like Turkey , sorry .

We may think we know what we are allowing to spread under our control. Some other things can easily use the same allowed pathways to spread beyond our SOPs to befall the entire Singapore beyond any solutions. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ why still allowing ppl to come in?

Singapore facing likelihood of 'exponential rise' in COVID-19 cases, quick action needed: MOHSINGAPORE: Singapore needs to “take quick action” to dampen the increasing likelihood of an \u0022exponential rise\u0022 in cases, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Monday (Sep 6). Speaking to reporters, Mr Lawrence Wong, What a difference a day makes. Bad. Hope the health minister have a plan B or C. At certain numbers, the ICU watch & the death rate is bound to rise. At certain numbers it will also be beyond control. MOH is in a lost now, they don't really know what to do? Policy changes everyday, citing the reason policy change due to virus. As a Singaporean, I felt ashamed, not only do they don't know how to react, they even created a discrimination between vaccined and non-vaccined. SAD
