Singapore facing likelihood of 'exponential rise' in COVID-19 cases, quick action needed: MOH

SINGAPORE: Singapore needs to “take quick action” to dampen the increasing likelihood of an"exponential rise" in COVID-19 cases, said the Ministry of Health on Monday .co-chair of the COVID-19 multi-ministry task force, said the transmission rate of COVID-19 has to be slowed down.“What is of concern to us is not just the absolute number of cases, but the rate at which the virus is spreading. And that’s the reproduction rate, or R.

“So we have to slow down the transmission rate and bring R down. We will attempt to do so without going back to another heightened alert. And in particular, we will go for aggressive contact tracing and ringfencing of cases and clusters, and push for more pervasive testing.” “We need to take quick action now to dampen the increasing likelihood of an exponential increase in cases. This will also buy us time to get more people, in particular seniors, vaccinated as soon as possible, and also to roll out our booster programme to those aged 60 and above.”The frequency of the mandatory fast and easy test rostered routine testing regime will be stepped up from once every two weeks to once a week from next Monday, said Mr Wong.

Regular testing for employees working onsite beyond these settings will also be stepped up, said Mr Wong.

CNA propaganda of super Pfizer vaccine is showing the truth .. big time failure .. where as so called ineffective Sinovac countries are doing good despite delta ! Hungary and Seychelles

Garmen cock up.

Dud vaccine. Cant stop transmission can't protect & still need quarterly jab. Creates more problem than it solves. Once reopen biggest recession & biggest healthcare crisis since 1819. Mass test/Self test 2-3x weekly will work better. Stop calling this a vaccine.

Told you in May to control unlinked cases, otherwise wave after wave lah Look like those illegal immigrants are driving this wave now. They can’t get vaccinated, not in systems. They got & going house to house to spread ICA_singapore LawrenceWongST leehsienloong sporeMOH

Another quick action is to ban all Indian Nationals, long-term Residents who are living, working or even studying India Until PM Modi officially offers one of the biggest apologies of all time via TV Radio, Social Media and resign from all posts immediately Because of this DELTA

Unbelievable. We are talking about a country where 80% are fully vaccinated.

Cat out of the bag. Our health minister is not very 'lucky' in politics. A runaway will sink him for starters. His icu watch is bound to increase with numbers.

Coz the resident spike proteins are creating something nobody can imagine & is science not teaching about mutations ? Who is keeping science quiet? Hydrogel? Graphene Oxides, Luciferase enzymes? Other Lipids?

I thought as long as high vax rate everything is fine. Why now ask fully vaxed to limit activities? Is it because the number of vaxed cases far far outnumbers those unvaxed? And because 45-50% of seriously ill in last 28 days are fully vaxed?

Yesterday say under control, today ?

No more endemic? Back to pandemic issit?

'Mass vaccination during pandemic, a historic blunder.' Nobel laureate Luc Montagnier.

Not endemic meh? Every time flip flop. Very fun hor.

Singapore facing likelihood of 'exponential rise' in COVID-19 cases, quick action needed: MOHSINGAPORE: Singapore needs to “take quick action” to dampen the increasing likelihood of an \u0022exponential rise\u0022 in cases, said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Monday (Sep 6). Speaking to reporters, Mr Lawrence Wong, What a difference a day makes. Bad. Hope the health minister have a plan B or C. At certain numbers, the ICU watch & the death rate is bound to rise. At certain numbers it will also be beyond control. MOH is in a lost now, they don't really know what to do? Policy changes everyday, citing the reason policy change due to virus. As a Singaporean, I felt ashamed, not only do they don't know how to react, they even created a discrimination between vaccined and non-vaccined. SAD

Ninety-one infections were linked to previous cases and were already in quarantine. Another 34 linked infections were detected through surveillance test Bad. We may think we know what we are allowing to spread under our control. Some other things can easily use the same allowed pathways to spread beyond our SOPs to befall the entire Singapore beyond any solutions. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ why still allowing ppl to come in?
