LAHORE - The US ambassador Donald Blome met new Punjab officials to explore opportunities to strengthen the US-Pakistan partnership in the province during his three-day visit to Lahore.
Ambassador Blome met Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz, Acting Governor and Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, and leader of the opposition in Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmad Khan Bhachar. “The US government is providing almost $85 million funding to address the issue of malnutrition in Pakistan, including $12 million to treat severely malnourished children,” ambassador Blome said.
